The stories of women as preserved in our biblical and rabbinic texts are sparse, and women’s voices were largely kept in whispers for much of Jewish history; but in the modern day, incredible work by women scholars and writers has lifted up stories long lost, gave voice to the voiceless, and have helped women to read themselves into old texts anew. Come and learn some of the different approaches these authors of women’s midrash have taken, and be inspired by their creative, emotional, and occasionally radical reads of our matriarchs!
